The Payton is a waterproof jacket built around a windproof polyester shell that sheds rain and blocks the cold before it reaches the soft plush lining inside. The hood sits close to the head and adjusts with a twisted cord, so it stays put when the wind picks up rather than blowing back off your face.
A hidden zip runs the full length of the centre front beneath a snap-button placket, sealing out draughts along the entire opening. The relaxed straight cut through the body and shoulders leaves enough room for a knit underneath without pulling at the seams or straining the cuffs, which fasten with adjustable snap tabs.
Wear it over a ribbed top and straight-leg trousers for a clean everyday layer, or pull it on over a chunky knit when the temperature drops further.
